Brooklyn Brownie is taken to get back to winning ways at the expense of Irish raider Poor Tactic's, Stagecoach Diamond, Diamond Cutter and Jonty's Lass. Brooklyn Brownie found one too good in the quirky but talented Shining Strand at Wetherby last time, but ran well in defeat and is better judged on his earlier convincing victory at Bangor. He will go on the ground and also has the benefit of having won here in the past, albeit in bumper company. He should be capable of defying his penalty and gets the vote over Poor Tactic's who is not certain to be suited by the step back up in trip after scoring at Perth. Stagecoach Diamond was outbattled on the run-in by Marlborough Sound at Cartmel and will surely be in the shake-up, while Diamond Cutter shaped as though he would like this trip when staying on at Market Rasen. Jonty's Lass sneaks in on bottom weight after making all in a Wetherby bumper and is worth a mention, while Dandy Nichols makes a rare foray into this sphere by saddling Fourth Dimension. Any money for this Flat performer should definitely be noted, but Brooklyn Brownie has the experience and can make that count in the last.
