Verdict

Miami Explorer can complete a hat-trick at the expense of Longdale, with Sterling Guarantee and Howards Dream likely to prove best of the rest. Taking recent form into account, Miami Explorer will surely prove hard to beat despite her penalty. Paul Webber's mare won as she liked over the course and distance eight days ago, and although you could argue that she did not beat much, with the favourite Dewasentah disappointing on the day, she was eased considerably on the run-in. That was only her second run after an eight-month break, and with the fast ground in her favour again, she will take some stopping. Longdale was also successful over track and trip on his last outing, but recorded a slower time when carrying slightly less weight, so should be held. However, he in turn should again have the measure of Sterling Guarantee who was second, and makes most appeal of the opposition. He has most weight to carry here but should run into a place, while Howards Dream might improve on the better ground after toiling behind Chef de Cour at Perth. Supply And Fix is turning into a regular visitor on these shores and is the best of Jimmy Lambe's two runners, but there is only one winner, and that is Miami Explorer.
