      Verdict

Beginners' chases are notoriously tricky affairs, with the runners looking to win over fences for the first time, and preference is for ACRAI RUA, whose hurdling form entitles him to overcome the challenges of Kanad and Viper. The last named has collected five races in his career but has yet to shine over fences, although finishing runner-up last time he was well beaten and is taken on. Kanad's most recent success came in selling class, but there was enough about his second placed effort last time to suggest he can play a leading role here. However, Acrai Rua has a string of fine performances to his credit over hurdles, and sure to have been well schooled by his trainer, this unexposed performer can lose his maiden tag at the first time of asking over fences.
