In depth

Verdict

Another less than competitive contest in which recent course winner Lirfox only has to jump round to collect. A useful hurdler in France she faced some stiff tasks over timber in this country taking in one of the big novice events at Cheltenham, before going on to finish a creditable third in a Grade 2 event at Aintree behind Limerick Boy and Man O'Mystery. Switching her attentions to chasing last month she absolutely bolted up in a moderate contest, which will have been a real boost to her confidence. She again meets inferior rivals and can take this before going onto much better things. She may be followed home by Burning Truth, who was a fair handicapper over hurdles and didn't shape too badly on his debut over fences. However, he was a long way behind the selection over timber and he will need something to go wrong with the mare he is to get off the mark in this.
