A very tricky race to assess, with many moderate performers, and we will tentatively suggest NAUGHTY BY NATURE to score, while Monet's Masterpiece looks interesting after a long lay-off. The selection won a couple of Bangor handicap hurdles in the winter on soft and heavy ground, and both over this trip. He has handled fast ground well enough in the past despite never winning on it and the drop back to this trip will help, so we will suggest him. Monet's Masterpiece would have definite claims if he could recapture the form of his previous days with Gary Moore. Peter Kelsall reintroduces him today after a two year lay-off and he does have his wellbeing to prove. Ptibaby is the selection's stablemate and looks the second string on jockey bookings, but trip and ground will suit and money for him would be interesting. Kijivu won a fillies race over course and distance last year and acts on a sound surface, although recent efforts have been uninspiring. Stage Right prefers these conditions and the drop back to this trip will probably suit, so he is not ruled out of such a poor affair, while Never Lost represents a good yard and tries this going for the first time. A market check is advised there, but for the winner we'll side with Naughty By Nature.
