This looks to be a very good opportunity for LE BROCQUY to break his duck over hurdles, while Noticeable and Thethirdoftheforth have frame claims. The Mick Quinlan-trained selection goes on fast ground and has a flat rating in the 80s, which equates to a similar mark to Noticeable over hurdles. He ran with credit when runner-up at Warwick last time, carries little weight on his back today compared to his chief rival, and first-time blinkers give him extra appeal from a betting perspective. Noticeable is officially the best of this lot but concedes 18lbs to the selection. He acts on a sound surface and holds his form well for one in this sphere and is much respected. Thethirdoftheforth drops back from 2m 4f today, and although he did win over this trip at Exeter last month that was on heavy ground and it may be that today's conditions do not provide a sufficient test of stamina for him. Harlequinn Danseur goes on the ground but has never won in 17 starts on the flat or over jumps and it is hard to enthuse even from this mark. Fair Shake was running a decent race when falling two out last time, but he looks as though he'd prefer some cut and preference is for Le Brocquy.
