The veteran Confessional will be having his 131st start and arrives in excellent form, following a victory at Chester with a fine effort in the Ayr Silver Cup last week when Dakota Gold led for a long way over that 6f. Paul Midgley saddles the pair at the top of the weights and Tarboosh will attract interest as he goes for a four-timer though he's now on a career-high mark in a very tough handicap. Stable companion FINAL VENTURE (NAP) hasn't won since landing a Listed contest on soft ground here last summer but has continued to run well at a high level and isn't without a chance. He was in front of Holmeswood when runner-up at York last month and should just about have the edge over Michael Dods' charge and gets the vote. Blue De Vega was beaten 3l by Tarboosh at Nottingham when conceding 4lb and receives 9lb here so should get very much closer.
