Adaay won the Sandy lane on this card last year before landing the Hungerford at Newbury. But he’s been below par since and was well behind third-placed Breton Rock at Sandown last time. The latter has not won since 2014 now and So Beloved makes more appeal having won a Listed event here on his return and beating Here Comes When at Goodwood last year. The latter was behind Home Of The Brave when the Godolphin colt won at Leicester last month and so was Johnny Barnes and the unexposed CONVEY (NAP). But Sir Michael Stoute’s charge has since shown his true form when runner-up in a Listed contest at York under Ryan Moore and he gets the nod to shown further progress today and come out best.
