A competitive contest where WILLIAM VAN GOGH might just have the measure of Dabbers Ridge. The latter looks likely to be very competitive once again and has not been out of the frame in any of his last six starts, winning two of them. He goes on this ground and has wins at this trip so must be short-listed. Nonetheless, William Van Gogh remains on the same mark as when easily winning a Southwell maiden last time and looks capable of better than when previously tried in a handicap, with conditions likely to suit. Mark Twain would not be winning out of turn and will relish the going, though Aquarian Spirit has it to prove with so much cut underfoot but is on a good mark. Quanah Parker may show more over this trip and with the yard going well.
