Verdict

Godolphin won this last year and will fancy their chances again with Genius Beast, but he is vulnerable to newcomer INDIAN EMPEROR. Michael Jarvis has a superb strike rate of 30% at this track in the past five seasons and his sole juvenile runner here this year was a winner, suggesting that this son of Araafa will go well. There are plenty of soft ground influences in his pedigree and his sire has produced two winners from just five runners with this, his first crop. Sadler's Risk should relish conditions and is feared, although he is likely to do better next year and over further. Purification looks a likely improver but Indian Emperor is suggested.
