A very tricky race with no fewer than nine of the 17 runners having won last time and we will side with one of them in MADHAAQ. The Medicean filly should be able to act on soft ground and was the easy winner of a Newbury handicap over this trip last time. John Dunlop's representative has gone up 10lbs for that but there looked likely to be plenty more to come. One of the bigger dangers could be On Khee, a similarly good winner over 12f at Windsor, and now up 11lbs as a result. Her sire Sakhee won on soft ground and she is much respected. Babycakes looks very decent but may find the ground against her, though that is not the case with Marjury Daw, Antigua Sunrise and Chester maiden winner Effervesce, while Kronful is also likely to act on the surface and is very interesting handicapping for the first time from a mark of 75.
