VALERY BORZOV will relish the bottomless ground and is taken to record his first win since May of last year. Then with David Nicholls, the Iron Mask gelding was winning from a mark of 97, but he is now 12lbs lower. He ran reasonably well over course and distance last month but it is when the ground gets deep that he really comes into his own and we will chance him. Horseradish is clearly in great form and is only 1lb higher than when victorious here last week. Trip and ground are ideal and he can go very close. Secret Witness deserves a win but finds very little late on and is probably destined for another place in the frame at best. Waveband is on the same mark as when going close with some cut in the ground at Hamilton last time and along with Ginger Ted and Sonny Red, has claims.
