In depth

Verdict

Daveron has been in fine form but will have to defy another 6lb rise if he's to complete his hat-trick. PORTWAY FLYER (NAP) comfortably justified market support in a higher grade at Kempton on Saturday. If he's back to his best, a 7lb penalty shouldn't prevent a quick follow-up for the eight-year-old whose stable is in cracking form. Deadly Sting goes well fresh and has been waiting for better ground so can't be ignored but Some Buckle still looks too high in the weights. Leanna Ban steps up a grade but is still preferred to Shimla Dawn on these terms.
