The vote here goes to Victom's Chance ahead of Mayeul, Miss Cospector and Snoopy Loopy. The selection has shown promise in both bumper starts to date, most recently when finishing second to The Mick Weston at Chepstow. This half-brother to Murphy's Cardinal looks an interesting recruit to hurdling and, over a longer trip today, can set about proving that. Snoopy Loopy (who also holds an engagement at Uttoxeter) has not run since May, but showed promise then when scoring at Hexham and should have more to come. The Miss Cospector's best run to date came here when staying-on second to Thames over course and distance, and the going will clearly hold no fears for her. The Francois Doumen-trained Mayeul has to be granted plenty of respect also because, having shown plenty of promise in France then ran a fair third on his British debut over an extended three miles at Windsor. He looks to have a race of this nature in him but, for the winner, we return to Victom's Chance.
