Verdict
A tricky looking handicap to conclude proceedings and Reel Buddy Star is taken to land it from an attractive mark of 72. George Moore's gelding will come on for his Redcar reappearance when lack of a run and the ground would both have been against him. He has not been rushed back and that can pay dividends here. A sound surface suits and he is unexposed over this trip so we'll take a chance on him. Art Currency should enjoy the step back up to a mile. Mark Wallace's colt was a narrow margin Beverley scorer last time but this looks tougher from a 5lb higher mark. Challow Hills would prefer the rains to fall if he is to give his true running and should be taken seriously if there is a drop, San Jose City represents and in-form yard and has conditions to suit and is interesting stepped back up in trip, while Marning Star wants fast ground and is not one to dismiss lightly despite being comfortably beaten off 1lb higher last time. An intriguing race then and Reel Buddy Star gets the nod.
