Sunset Crest looks the one to be on here, while Mo Mhuirnin can improve and newcomers Isabella Grey and Evelyn May are worth a second look. Sunset Crest put up a good debut effort earlier in the month when runner up in a Newcastle maiden, staying on well when the penny finally dropped. Anne Duffield's filly should come on for that experience, she is bred to sprint and is related to plenty of two-year-old winners and is a confident choice. Mo Mhuirnin was not disgraced on ground that would probably have been too soft at Ripon on debut, and showed plenty of speed until half way. With improved form likely, she can go close this time. Debutante Isabella Grey is by Choisir and should therefore possess plenty of speed, although the pedigree suggests that she may do better with age, while Evelyn May may be a better proposition today. The Acclamation filly has plenty of relations who did well over sprint trips as juveniles, hails from a top yard, and although she would probably prefer fast ground she should handle it good, so she can go well. Compton Ford may be capable of better now from an in-form yard, but preference here is for Sunset Crest.
