Verdict

The return to this trip can see Voice Mail in a better light and he gets the nod over Strong Hand, who is respected but has something to prove over a trip that might just stretch her stamina a touch too far. Aristi and Mr Midasman also have place claims on their latest efforts and are worth noting if supported. Strong Hand won as she liked at Carlisle eight days ago and is entitled to respect whilst she is in good heart. A 6lb penalty is not such a worry on the best of her form, as he has won off 82 in the past. However, she has never won beyond nine and a half furlongs and tries this trip for only the second time in her career. Therefore, we go with Voice Mail, who has several solid pieces of form at this distance. Andrew Balding's charge will also love the ground and, as he was very unlucky to be trapped on the rail at Goodwood the other day, the hint is taken with the quick reappearance today.
