This more conventional track will not be a problem for Sew 'N' So Character, who is fancied to follow up his Chester success today. James Caird, Go Tech and Vicious Warrior can give the selection the most to think about. James Caird and Go Tech are closely matched on last season's from and there is unlikely to be much between them this afternoon. However, the former is much better off at the weights today and is fancied to come out on top in that personal battle. However, like Vicious Warrior, he has a long absence to overcome this afternoon and there has to be the suspicion that he will be better for the outing. Namroc is another worth a mention, as he is very lightly raced and comes into the race on a fair mark for what he showed last term. Ed Vaughan has yet to really step things up with his string this term but this fellow is one to bear in mind when the yard hit form. Even so, like a few of the rest, he might just need this and is opposed with Sew 'N' So Character. A 3lb rise for his success on the Roodeye looks very fair in the context of this race and the son of Imperial Ballet can put his race-fitness to good use today.
