Woodford Belle is likely to be in warm order in this handicap but with him not obviously well treated on his first start in these ranks we prefer STEP IN TIME, who should improve for this step up in trip while Venutius is also high on our list. The selection has been highly tried in much better races than this over trips that have perhaps been on the short side. He looked back to form when dropped in class and upped in distance last time and with another demotion in grade and more yardage to take on he should go in off a more than fair mark. Woodford Belle has looked progressive in maidens but while there is undoubtedly more to come she is not a stand-out at the weights. Venutius was only just held in a classified race last time and while that looked an improved run he has a little to prove off this rating while any money for Taste The Victory would get us interested in that unexposed runner. Not the easiest end to the day but Step In Time has plenty in his favour.
