Emily's Place is only tentatively forwarded as the selection, while Mucho Loco and Ellesappelle can also play strong hands in this weak claimer. It would also be interesting to note any support for the unexposed Top Level, who wouldn't need to find much to score in this company. Ellesappelle drops into this grade after finding life hard in handicaps. Unlike her Derby winning sire, her will to win is yet to really become evident on the racecourse and she has to be one to treat with caution despite having solid claims at the weights. Mucho Loco as been banging on the door lately and will be dangerous to rule out. He looks a likely type for a race of this nature and it will not come as a surprise to see Eddie Ahern make his mind up for him when needs be. However, Emily's Place has been running with more consistency than many of her rivals and Mark Tompkins looks to have found an ideal opening for his filly to gain a timely confidence booster.
