Verdict

Kentford Grebe can lower the colours of Val Du Don in the Novices' Chase. Kentford Grebe has already seen off one of Nicky Henderson's charges this season over the chase fences but she will need to produce a career best to beat Val Du Don. That said, she had some decent hurdles form prior to a switch to fencing and she was one to the best novice mares' in training over the smaller obstacles. Val Du Don takes this engagement in preference to Trabologan, who appeared the more likelier runner at the five-day stage. He has conditions to suit and is in receipt of weight. If he has dodged the recent cloud that has befallen the stable - he has a major chance. Bais De Singes and Cambrian Dawn look to be making up the numbers if their recent form is anything to judge them by. Kentford Grebe can win a much deserved prize for trainer Seamus Mullins in our penultimate race.
