This trip may be an issue for course winner Pintura but it won't be for TAMANACO who is selected in preference to Ice Viking and Out Of Eden. Tim Walford's gelding is proven on soft ground and he ran well at Beverley on his first start of this year when beaten behind Music Of The Moor. His latest effort at Thirsk suggests that he didn't stay the longer trip but now dropped in distance he should acquit himself better. Pintura won well here in July before just plugging on at the one pace over this distance subsequently. Whether that was the effect of cheek-pieces wearing off or this longer trip it isn't clear, but he looks opposable at the likely odds off this mark of 75. Hill Tribe is unexposed and this French recruit looks interesting given the way Roxy Flyer (who beat him at Goodwood in June) has since franked the form, whilst Out Of Eden is nicely-bred and may improve for stepping into handicaps, however he has something to prove on this ground. Ice Viking is adaptable and has been holding his form well this Summer without winning, whilst Straversjoy and Patricks Lodge both look up against it from some way out of the weights. An interesting conclusion to the card and one that can go the way of Tamanaco.
