Verdict
Groupie is a pound lower as he bids for back-to-back victories in this. Zylan was a surprise winner at Beverley but the second has franked the form since and he should perform well under a penalty. Golden Guest also carries 6lb extra but the recent Doncaster winner has a decent strike-rate so can’t be ignored. Kirkham is well treated on last year’s form but he’s not pulled up any trees so far this season. RED FORCE ONE ran a couple of decent races over 6f here as a juvenile. Apprentice-ridden in two starts since returning from a lay-off and wind surgery, he’s been catching the eye and Richard Kingscote takes over the reins today.
