Verdict

JONAH JONES got going too late to threaten surprise winner Hesslewood and favourite Rathbone at York last month but must have every chance of reversing that form here with James Bethell’s colt, who is carrying a penalty. Call Him Al will need to settle better than he did at Thirsk to play a part while Beauty Concept has some improving to do but a few of the newcomers are worth a second look if attracting market support. Swinging Eddie is a half-brother to four winners and Cracking Speed was a €70,000 yearling, though may find this trip too short. Amelia R looks the best of Karl Burke’s fillies on pedigree and jockey bookings.
