This is a wide open handicap in which Sentry, Dorothy's Friend and Distant Prospect look to have solid claims and we will give the narrow vote to Dorothy's Friend. The selection progressed nicely last season and finished the campaign by winning in good style to complete a hat-trick at Newcastle. The manner of that win suggested there is still plenty more to come from this gelding from the Roger Charlton yard and as such he is taken to score. Sentry rates the main danger but he looks to still be in the grip of the handicapper and we are happy to oppose him. Distant Prospect is on a handy mark at present and he will be suited by this track more than he was at Chester when well beaten behind Ana Pekan in a slightly better race than this. Prairie Falcon is not getting any younger but he retains plenty of ability and he could be capable of running on into a place, but for the winner we return to Dorothy's Friend.
