Tanforan did nothing wrong last time and can pay to support again ahead of a whole host of other possibles including Sake, Sand Iron, Uncle Bulgaria and Benedict. Another large turnout in the finale does not make it easy to predict, but Tanforan did it nicely at Thirsk 12 days ago and is taken to double up. Lynda Ramsden's charge was given a good ride by today's pilot Dave Allan when opening his account over a mile at the Yorkshire track, and should go close to defying a rise in the weights in what is a similar contest on paper. Sake improved markedly when touched off by Master Joseph at Newcastle, and as that was only his fourth career run, he should certainly open his account before too long. He is just one of many in with place claims at least, with Sand Iron another to consider. He held on well when scoring over seven furlongs at Folkestone and will appreciate the extra furlong today. Uncle Bulgaria let his supporters down at Windsor and will fare better with more restraint, while Benedict shaped well on his return at Lingfield. Let Slip and Penang Sapphire are others that have been costly to follow of late, but both will surely be placed to good effect in due course. For the winner today though we prefer the claims of Tanforan.
