Satin Kiss can return to winning ways at the expense of Echelon, with Ruby Rocket and Slip Dance worth a mention at least. Echelon actually finished in front of Satin Kiss when both were well beaten in the 1,000 Guineas, but the drop back to six furlongs can see the Godolphin filly return to form. Prior to her defeat at Newmarket, the daughter of Seeking The Gold had made all in both the UAE 1,000 Guineas and Oaks, but they were on sand, and she seemed to just run out of steam when attempting the same tactics at Newmarket. With that in mind, Saeed Bin Suroor has probably made the right decision to drop her in distance, and what better place than Haydock, scene of one of her two wins over six furlongs last season. She is a full-sister to Lujain and it is hoped that she will turn out to be every bit a successful over sprint trips this term. Echelon too shaped more like a sprinter in the 1,000 Guineas, and will not mind if the ground stays on the easy side. She can prove dangerous along with last year's runner-up Ruby Rocket who finished fourth in Group 3 company at Lingfield last time. Slip Dance was in front of the selection at Newmarket and was then down the field in the Irish 1,000 Guineas. She needs things to fall right, but is another that could bounce back over this shorter trip. However, we shall stay loyal to Satin Kiss.
