The vote here goes to United Spirits ahead of Champain Sands, Calculaite and Son Of Thunder. Following a promising run over seven furlongs last time we will take a chance on United Spirits following it up and running well today. A three-pounds drop in the ratings from that should also help matters along. Turn the clock back a year and you could give Champain Sands a chance and Band is back to below a winning mark, and has gone well here in the past. Ruby Legend would hold solid claims on 2003 form but he has not been seen much since then. Calculaite needs to match his all-weather form to feature, while Charlie Tango has hit form and is still reasonably weighted. Slavonic ran well from this mark at Ayr last time but others are preferred, but, despite disappointing last time, Son Of Thunder rates a danger to all based on his Carlisle win before that, and there is the chance that Barons Spy could yet build on his promising maiden form. Overall, though, we will take a chance on United Spirits.
