In depth

Verdict

Our three against the field are Manhasset Indian, Castano and Twitch Hill, with the vote going to the first-named horse. Manhasset Indian showed plenty of promise when third on his Windsor debut and, if handling the going, looks just about the one they have to beat today. Castano has shown enough in each start to suggest that he can go well today, particularly as he is bred to be suited by the going. The market should tell us more about the cheaply-acquired Richard Fahey runner Utmost Respect, while Princess Ellis has been knocking at the door on most starts, although the form only rates at around the mid-60s mark. Finally, Twitch Hill, who is related to a number of winners, is an interesting newcomer but it is experience that spins us back to the selection, which is Manhasset Indian.
