Verdict
Aussie Cricket, Annual Event and Tembanee are the three to consider here and preference is for Annual Event. Richard Hannon's newcomer Tembanee is one to look at seriously in what is a weak race. He is a son of Selkirk and is related to an Irish Oaks winner, so this trip of a mile should hold no fears. Any market move would be heeded but in any event, he has the quality of breeding to justify support. Aussie Cricket shaped encouragingly on her debut at Bath, staying on well to be a never nearer fourth. That was a promising effort, and although the strength of that race was questionable, this trip of a mile looks sure to suit more and she looks sure to go well. Annual Event was well fancied to go well on her debut at York at the end of July but could manage only sixth after showing good pace early in the race. She will no doubt like many from the yard improve for that first run and this looks distinctly easier. Clearly held in some regard, Annual Event can register her first success.
