mid-division, no impression from 3f out

      In depth

      Verdict

In the finale, Stamford Blue gets the vote ahead of Ballybunion and Mannello. Just two pounds above his June course and distance winning mark, Stamford Blue holds an obvious shout here. Ten Shun looks held on that form. Ballybunion's best recent efforts have come over today's trip so do not dismiss his chance, while Mannello comes here as a lightly-raced improver who also handles ease in the going (monitor the weather accordingly) although he goes well on good too. Sweetest Revenge seemed to run better than she has for a while last time and, if that impression is a valid one, she could be well-weighted at present, and Ruby's Dream is edging back towards a winning mark so might go well. Finally, due to go up four pounds in future ratings, you can build the case for Kitchen Sink, although he remains a maiden, and Gavioli holds claims if on one of his increasingly-rare going days today. Overall, though, the vote stays with Stamford Blue.
