        Verdict

        Sphinx put up a career best effort when landing a 1m6f contest at Nottingham last month and has to be respected but a 4lb rise for that success leaves him with more to do and preference is for Tilt, who gets the vote over Dustoori. The last mentioned made a winning start to his career when landing a Bath maiden last month and Godolphin's colt could be of interest stepped into a handicap today but he does not appear to be particularly well treated and may have to settle for minor honours. Eric Alston's Bajan Parkes disappointed at Haydock last time and is hard to back with confidence on that evidence, while Mark Johnston's Doctor Scott could do with the ground really quickening up. Cotton Eyed Joe is capable but has a career high mark to defy and preference is for the consistent Tilt, who is taken to gain a deserved success.
