Celtic Heroine is the one that they all have to beat and gets a confident vote here over Antediluvian and Play That Tune. Celtic Heroine did well to recover from being struck by a rival's whip when starting to make her challenge in the Listed Sandringham Rated Stakes at Royal Ascot last week, in the end getting the better of Coy in a driving finish. Trainer Michael Jarvis was worried about the fast ground that day and will be heartened by the recent wet spell that will take the sting out of the going at the Scottish track. Out of a three-parts-sister to Celtic Swing, she will be going to Peter Savill's stud eventually, and will command a decent fee with more black type to her name. Connections hope that she will prove up to taking a Listed class before retiring, so she should certainly be up to this task. The one fly in the ointment is Antediluvian who has not been seen since absolutely bolting up in maiden company at Redcar last October on her one and only start. She could be anything but we will take the view that Sir Michael Stoute's filly is not spot on for her return. Play That Tune could not cope with the progressive Polar Jem at Sandown but this slightly shorter trip will suit, but even so she faces a tough task in trying to stop Celtic Heroine from adding to her tally.
