Rio Rocket is less exposed than Speedy Senorita and Star In The East and gets the nod as the one to be on in the claimer. That said, each-way support for Baby Jack would be interesting, as the David Nicholls-trained colt is also a lightly raced type and, as there are plenty of winners in his bloodlines, he can be expected to start paying his way before too long. Star In The East is probably better than her form figures would suggest and can be a threat in this company. She does need to prove the drop in trip will not be a problem for her though and there has to be a suspicion that she may lack a change of gear when push comes to shove. Speedy Senorita has gone close in maidens and nurseries, so has to be on the shortlist in this modest company - especially when considering her yard's strike-rate in claimers. However, Rio Rocket just makes a touch more appeal at this stage, as she is getting better with every run and, as she has the proven ability to cope with the ground, there are plenty of reasons to fancy that the daughter of Captain Rio can get off the mark today.
