Verdict

Dual bumper winner December Second has placed in both starts on the Flat but this much shorter trip is not certain to suit and NEW ARRANGEMENT is taken to make the journey up from Newmarket a worthwhile one. He never threatened Maamora when runner-up over a mile at Ripon on his debut but the latter is rated 83 and James Tate’s charge looks the one to beat on that form. Show The World and Newspeak are easily dismissed on these terms while the newcomer Blistering Barney is out of an unraced dam.
