In a very competitive classified event Sharp Hat, Pays d'Amour and Online Investor could be the three to concentrate on, with the first named just getting the vote. Sharp Hat is now a ten-year-old but still retains plenty of ability. His most recent performance makes very good reading, he came from off the pace to finish a close second behind Justalord from a bad draw at Catterick, a repeat of that effort should be good enough here. Pays D'Amour has similar claims to the selection having chased home Jedeyd at Haydock earlier this month and on official ratings looks to have a tremendous chance. A big threat to all will be Online Investor, who contested a much better race than this at Goodwood last time and was a shade unlucky. He travelled supremely well, but had to be switched midtrack and found trouble before staying on when it was all over to pass beaten horses. So a very tricky contest but Sharp Hat has plenty going for him today and he gets our vote.
