In the finale, the short list consists of Tomorrow's Dancer, Bivouac and Ice Box, with the selection being Bivouac. Tomorrow's Dancer seemed to show improvement over course and distance last time, possibly because of ease in the going, and he could well improve again. Bivouac was just ahead of him in that race so he has to come into things too, not least because he is lightly-raced and open to further improvement too. Heaven's Gates holds every chance if transferring his all-weather form to Turf on his Turf debut, while Mark Johnston's Ice Box comes into this on the back of a couple of fair efforts and he too should be given serious thought. Massams Lane has to be given some thought based on literal readings of maiden form - he was not too far behind Kyle two runs ago - and Milson's Point's second to Quick's The Word at Ayr last time reads as solid form in the context of this race, although that run came over six furlongs and he still has to prove he stays a mile. Finally, it would be no surprise to see Eoghan O'Neill's Countess Majella prove better than she has so far shown but, with Crosby Jemma not showing too much on her handicap debut last time, we return to the selection, which is Bivouac.
