Micky Hammond's Raleigh Quay only won by a neck at Musselburgh last month so he may struggle to follow up off a 3lb higher mark here and preference is for STELLITE, who gets the verdict ahead of Croeso Cusan. John Spearing's mare won well at Warwick last month but was well held off her new mark on a return visit to the venue last time and is 1lb higher in the weights today so she may be booked for a place at best. The John Weymes-trained Bold Marc ran better in a Redcar claimer recently and has chances back in a handicap today but he may need some help from the handicapper, while Rosbertini is hard to recommend after his last two starts. Linda Perratt's course and distance selling winner Royal Straight ran well back in a handicap at Musselburgh over 1m4f last time and he has claims but may be better over further and preference is for Stellite. Jim Goldie's gelding deserves to get his head in front having run some decent races in defeat this term and he looks worth siding with off a fair mark.
