Peter Monteith's Monte Mayor One only won by a short-head when successful at Ayr last time and may struggle to follow up that success under a 6lb penalty with a better bet looking to be BESTY, who gets the verdict ahead of Coolree Star. Jeremy Glover's gelding has been running well on the Polytrack since the turn of the year and would have every chance if able to reproduce a similar level of form back on turf but he may be a shade high in the weights. Frontline Boy ran better in a seller at Nottingham on his most recent start but is likely to struggle back in a handicap and of more interest may be Tim Easterby's Loss Leader, who showed improved form in a Catterick maiden recently but he has gone up 9lbs for that outing. The vote then goes the way of Bryan Smart's Besty, who ran really well when finding just one too good in sprint handicaps over six furlongs at Ripon and Pontefract before disappointing back over the minimum trip at Carlisle last time and he can gain a deserved success back over six today.
