Jeremy Glover's La Capriosa has been in good form of late on the Fibresand and on turf but she would probably prefer more cut in the ground so looks best watched unless the rain arrives and a better bet may be LESLEY'S CHOICE, who is preferred to Top Bid. Tim Easterby's gelding ran too badly to be true at Newmarket last time and has every chance on the form shown when winning races here and at Nottingham previously so he has to be considered. David Barron's Bosun Breeze won well enough at Haydock two starts ago and is only 2lbs higher today but he disappointed either side of that Haydock run so cannot be backed with any confidence. Linda Perratt complicates matters by saddling two runners in Tadalavil and The Bear, both of who have claims, but they are likely to have to settle for minor honours. Methaaly should appreciate the return to the minimum trip having not seemingly lasted six furlongs at Doncaster last time but a better bet looks to be Frank Brennan's Lesley's Choice, who was running well on the Polytrack and Fibresand prior to a couple of encouraging outings on turf and he can gain a deserved success on the surface.
