All eyes will be on ROYAL DIAMOND and he may improve sufficiently for the longer trip to open his account. Blackstone Vegas is another potential improver this year whilst Classic Contours, Kochanski and Royal Society could also feature. Sir Mark Prescott's record is legendary and it would be no great surprise were his charge to improve significantly now tried beyond a mile. He's related to a Listed winner over a mile and there isn't an abundance of stamina in his pedigree but his trainer places his horses well. There is plenty of stamina in Blackstone Vegas' pedigree and it would be no surprise to see him fare better over middle distances this term whilst the way that Classic Contours was staying on over ten furlongs at Beverley suggests that this trip should suit. Kochanski and Royal Society have proven form at this trip but the former is relatively exposed and looks vulnerable whilst the form of the Kempton race in which the latter ran looks ordinary so preference is for Royal Diamond.
