News Of The Day can get back to winning ways, with Copernican, Four Miracles, A Big Sky Brewing and Delta Shuffle all combining to make it hard for the selection. News Of The Day was in good form on the all-weather earlier in the year, winning a couple of times, and has been given a break since running Madaarek to three-parts-of-a length at Beverley in April. The latter has since gone on to capture a class 4 handicap at Sandown just the other week, albeit over further than today's trip, and that form looks solid enough. Sir Mark Prescott sends out Copernican for his handicap debut over a trip more in keeping with his breeding. It is a tried and trusted ploy by the Newmarket trainer, and any support in the ring should be seriously heeded. Four Miracles also starts life in handicap company but has to shoulder topweight, while A Big Sky Brewing was a bit unlucky-in-running at Newcastle and is tried over a longer trip. Delta Shuffle posted his best effort yet when runner-up at Leicester from 3lb out of the handicap, but the fact remains that he is still a maiden, and we have no hesitation in returning to News Of The Day as the answer.
