Another competitive race on the card and where Imperial Sword, Cheery Cat, Cassie¿s Choice and Cross Of Lorraine are among those on a lengthy short list and we¿ll take the latter to score. Chris Grant¿s charge is 7lb better off for around three lengths with The Bear on their running over c&d last month and can turn the tables on that rival now. He goes on any ground but won¿t mind a drop of rain to be seen to best effect and remains very competitive from this mark. With the benefit of that first run under his belt he can take this. Imperial Sword was a winner at Warwick last time but has done the business here too. A 6lb rise for that recent win won¿t help but he should certainly be in the shake-up. Cheery Cat is a c&d scorer who goes well in cheek pieces and on fast ground, though he has to produce a career best to land this. Cassie¿s Choice won a maiden last time but has struggled off lower marks than this in handicaps and looks worth taking on, Coleorton Dancer looks to have too much on his back judged on his running with Cheery Cat last time, Rainbow Fox may well be able to turn the table on the latter rival though at these weights, while Mandurah looks best over the minimum trip. A tricky handicap for punters then but the suggestion is Cross Of Lorraine.
