Nothing rock solid but CAWDOR is the highest-rated and is fancied to see off Dickie Le Davoir and Ingleby Star. Linda and Bill stubbs had a good 2009 and this recruit from the Henry Candy yard shaped ok at Kempton at the turn of the year. Now dropped in grade (looks a bit high in the handicap) this Kyllachy gelding should take all the beating on a track that should suit. The course certainly suits Dickie Le Davoir who won here back in June 2008. He tends to get behind but his jockey knows him well and on ground that suits he should see out this race well. Ingleby Star has never won over this trip but he saw his race out well at Musselburgh last time and is the obvious horse to trouble the selection on the ratings. Go Alone drops in grade having not featured in recent handicaps but he isn't too exposed and is hard to ignore, as is Cheveyo who hasn't been over here from Ireland for too long. The rest don't jump off the page so this looks a good opportunity for Cawdor to get his head in-front.
