Kings College Boy is in great heart at present and is the unoriginal selection. Opal Noir may be able to put a poor run behind him to emerge as the biggest challenger. The selection ran five times in June but has shown no sign that his busy schedule is catching up with him and he can avenge his narrow defeat over course and distance last time. He was clear of the field which included Rothesay Dancer and can go one better. Elkhorn is slipping back down to a decent mark but he may need a little more help from the assessor and he hasn't shown enough of late to warrant selection. Rothesay Dancer's last two wins have come over course and distance with Kelly Harrison in the plate but she, too, may need to drop another pound or two before she can win again. Opal Noir failed to build on his win over six here on his penultimate start but showed enough speed to be of interest back over the minimum and is worth a second look but we'll stick with the solid option, which is Kings College Boy.
