A tight handicap which may see Hawkit reverse recent form with Supercast, Regent's Secret also has claims but Bold Indian is our idea of the winner. Ian Semple has won four of the last ten runnings of this race and the prize may stay at the same stable with Linda Perratt having made a cracking start to her first season from her new base. The selection ran well on his reappearance despite taking a keen hold and should be able to step up on that effort now that he's got a run under his belt. He has yet to win outside claiming company but has proved competitive from higher marks in the past and looks to have plenty in his favour. Regent's Secret is a previous winner of the race and Jim Goldie's string is in such good form that he cannot be left off the short-list. He's well handicapped, looks to be running into form and is a major player. Supercast has gone up by 4lbs for his win at Ayr but he will meet Hawkit on 11lb worse terms once Neil Brown's claim has been taken into account and clearly has his work cut out to confirm the form. Fujin Dancer is of interest on the form of his penultimate start which saw him finish a three and a half length fourth to Collection at York and market confidence behind his chances would look very significant but we'll take Bold Indian to take his scalp.
