ADVANCED is given the nod in this conditions contest, while Oldjoesaid, Bonus and Hitchens can also get involved. The selection tries the polytrack for the first time, so needs to prove he handles the surface, but he has some very solid form to bring to the table. A runner-up in Listed company, he was not disgraced in the Ayr Gold Cup and this is nothing like as competitive as the Group 2 Diadem Stakes that he contested last time, and he may well have the class to score. Oldjoesaid just about sees out 6f, but in truth his optimum trip looks to be the minimum distance and although he could take home some money it may not be first prize. Like his yard, Bonus has been out of sorts lately. If back at his best then he'd be a serious threat here and he may well come on for his last run after a decent break. Hitchens won a more valuable handicap than this at Windsor in June and has been out of his depth since. He should be able to finish much closer here. Ebraam acts on the Polytrack and over this trip, and he can't be ruled out but preference is for Advanced.
