A decent handicap where you could make a case for a number of runners and we will do that about IRISH MAYHEM, who is taken to see off Quotation for gold. Brian Meehan has his Manton string in good order and this Woodman colt enjoyed this circuit last time when a ready scorer over c&d. A 7lb rise for that looks fair enough and with the hope there is more to come we'll stick with him. Quotation could be a serious danger for Sir Michael Stoute. She has less miles on the clock and won a Salisbury fillies' handicap going away last time. This is certainly a more competitive race but she left a good impression and can go well. Gala Casino Star has enjoyed a good time of it this year but is probably in the grip of the handicapper now, but Relative Order is likely to get very competitive here. The Diktat colt has three fast ground wins to his name over 7f and is definitely worth another try over a mile. Improvement is not ruled out. Mut'ab landed a Yarmouth maiden in first-time blinkers and the hoods are retained here over what is probably a preferable trip, so he can't be ignored. Slam enjoys it here with two c&d wins to his name and a 5lb rise for his latest success means his task here is not insurmountable, but we can only select one and that one is Irish Mayhem.
