Richard Fahey's ANTIGUA SURPRISE gets the vote in this maiden; the list of dangers is headed by Royal Defence and Akhenaten. The selection has shown promise on a couple of starts and she has also proved her ability to handle today's ground conditions. Furthermore she has the best of the draw so there is plenty to recommend her. Royal Defence is a possible alternative as he is a well-bred colt and he has a fair draw. The trainer has a good record in sprint races and a market check is advised for this newcomer. Mick Channon's Akhenaten has shown promise on his two starts to date but he has yet to race on ground as soft as this and the draw could have been kinder to him. Graycliffe has been drawn in the car park so will need some luck to score from stall 11. We are therefore happy to stick with Antigua Sunrise who should prove hard to beat.
