Verdict

A small field goes to post for this nursery and we will side with NIGHT OF FORTUNE to get the better of Fitzolini and Suruor. Course and distance form can be hugely significant at Chester and Sir Mark Prescott's colt did win well here last time out. He looks a really nice type and providing he handles this softer ground then he should take all the beating. Fitzolini has to enter calculations as he has been in decent form and he is proven on the ground. He has yet to run over this trip though and he lacks the scope of our selection who looks to have a really progressive profile. Suruor was denied a clear run last time and he was allowed to coast home once his chance had gone. That run can therefore be ignored and it is worth noting that the yard are in great form at present. Alan Berry does well with his runners here at Chester so a market move for Our Apolonia could be of interest. However, Sir Mark Prescott won this race back in 2004 and he can register another success today with Night Of Fortune.
